In this Contact Improvisation workshop we will explore the dynamic possibilities that attending to the joints, particularly the spine, can create in our dancing.
This workshop is open to dancers with intermediate/advanced contact improvisation skills.
Cost: $35 if paid before April 9, $40 after April 9. $65 sign-up for both Tuesday workshops (on 4/23, 4/30).

Alicia Grayson has been passionately involved with dancing, teaching and performing CI for the past 24 years. She has taught contact improvisation as an adjunct faculty at George Washington University, University of Denver, Naropa University and Shenandoah University. She teaches CI, yoga and pilates classes in Boulder and regularly travels to Europe and around the US to teach at festivals and workshops. Her long time practices of authentic movement, yoga and meditation are important influences on her dancing and teaching. Currently, she is a student in Body Mind Somanautics, a somatic psychology and living anatomy training program and a graduate of the comprehensive training in the Hakomi Method of Experiential Psychotherapy. She delights in exploring and discovering new depths to the form and is particularly interested int he intersection of physics and expression and the mind/body relationship.
